Book Review: His Royal Highness King Baby

“Greetings all! Would love to quickly introduce myself as I’m delighted to serve as the book reviewer for Anne Louise Magazine.
I post about adult and children’s books (amongst various other musings) over at @livingbythepagewithnatalie on Instagram and moonlight as a consultant during the day.
My children are ages 8, 6.5 and 3.5 and you’ll hear about them often as I’m a children’s picture book aficionado!
Join along as I highlight some of our top faves with Anne Louise magazine….”

His Royal Highness King Baby

A picture book by tag team author Sally Lloyd-Jones (Jesus Storybook Bible) and illustrator David Roberts (Rosie Revere Engineer)!?  Um, yes please! That’s a tag team made in picture book heaven if I ever saw one! I was quite excited about this one and it did not disappoint. My crew loved this sardonic tale of an older sister who feels completely dethroned by the arrival of a new baby brother. My kids were so close in age (three in four and a half years) that I don’t think any of them remember having to consciously deal with my sibling envy (since they could hardly talk themselves!) but it’s a fabulous one for those of you who may have kids spread further apart, or are about to welcome a new little one…or even just a fun way to talk about envy/jealousy of any shape or form.
